Well, Godly Girls Summer Camp has begun
and my girls and I could not be more excited!
We have a class of twelve girls this year!!
This year's theme for our Godly Girls Camp
is
Forever Easter!
We begin our morning with a Bible Study.
Today we read and learned about Lazarus
and Jesus' Triumphal Entry.
We talked about how even though the people
saw the miracle of Lazarus being raised from the dead
there were many who still did not believe that Jesus is God.
I shared with them how important it is for us to live a Godly life for all to see.
How other's seeing Jesus inside of us will be drawn to us
giving us the opportunity to share Him with them.
After our study we had "tea-time."
(I did not serve hot tea, but rather iced tea).
They enjoyed a time of fellowship, good manners, tea and cupcakes!
We were all quite cozy!
After our snack time is Craft Time!
Today I taught the girls how to make two different kinds of earrings.
We learned that we can make and wear earrings
and look beautiful on the outside,
but God is calling us to be beautiful on the inside.
It is through following Jesus' example of
kindness, gentleness, love, joy, peace, patience, selflessness,
that others will be drawn to us and we will be given the
opportunity to share the love of Jesus with them.
Our first set of earrings were somewhat difficult to make,
as told to me by the girls ;)
Teaching twelve girls jewelry making was no small task either!
But alot of fun!
They worked hard and no one gave up!
(My daughters were great little helpers).
Some proudly wore their creations!
Great job Megan!
and Brianna!
Others don't have pierced ears,
but are looking forward to the day when they can wear them!
We also made 'angel' earrings!
It all turned out so lovely.
Looking forward to another day together:
Studying God's Word,
sharing,
praying for each other,
and doing crafts.
It's going to be great!
